My name is Mariana Boulton. I am a wife, a mother of four, a friend, an educator by profession, and a Parkland Resident. I’m also a continuous learner, which has lead to watercolors.

I love art and design. I enjoy loosing myself in museums and art galleries or art festivals. One day, I decided to get more formal art classes through out my life: First with oils, then acrylics, a little drawing here and there. Finally two years ago I was introduced to Watercolor and I was hooked!

Come into play the Covid-19 lock down and pandemic: I found myself having more and more time to play with the medium, to explore, to challenge myself and create. I found I loved getting lost in the process and it was, in a way, therapeutic. Using technology such as as Instagram, it has enabled me to expand my audience much further than I ever thought possible. Through YOUTUBE  I had the chance to find great tutorials to help me improve techniques and learn more about the medium (Lets make art and Domestika are my favorites! )

As with anything, I am still learning and evolving my style. I have had the opportunity to be exposed to many different countries and places (e.g. Venezuela, Spain, Ireland and USA) exposing me to many different styles, people and cultures.

I like creating happy, fresh and simple works that remind us of the beauty in everyday. Beauty in the simple things of life.
